Guna Campbell's Blog
Last Wednesday I blogged about a new aspiring photographer Jake McWilliams, I showed you some of his work, and shocked you that some of them were taken by iPhone because all of them were simply mind-blowing. So guess what? Jake is now on Buzznet known as
and you should totally say hi and make him feel welcomed. And while you're there, why don't you look at his very first post (hint Lady Gaga related hint).

Today me and my boy went to Quirky, a vegan friendly restaurant and we ordered a home made humous. It was delicious! We discovered that we're going to have storm so we had to rushed back home. Shame, but we're having a quiet in while working on few uni stuff.
Jake McWilliams is a photographer that I discovered through Tumblr a long time ago, until recently when we began talking again and he reminded me of his work and Flickr page. This guy has so much talent, I don't think I have seen pictures that continuously make me go "WOW" frame after frame in a very long time. And believe it or not, some of these are even taken with iPhone. Jake - Y U SO GOOD?

I think this might be the very first time when I actually dressed as aspiring legal proffesional should whilst being in the uni. It's weird how I never really thought that this is where I'm going to end up, studying law when my heart is in arts. But I know that doing law will change my life in a way that I'll be able to give back so much more to society!
Whan did you want to do originally as a career? And if you're just getting to uni, what job would be your dream job?
I've listen to Sky Ferreira when MySpace was the ultimate social network, and Sky was the teen rebel heart, however the one with innocent looks, long locks and 'cannot be bothered' style. Now, her image has changed but still the same. She still is the ultimate rebel heart and I guess she is growing up! We see in video Sky in different wigs, lingerie and she potrays a sexier character, which makes me wonder if this is for attention or just director's (Grant Singer) choice?
Looks like we've been a good this year because the full trailer of Lana Del Rey's little masterwork is here!!! 'Tropico' will be out on 5th December which is when for the 30 minutes we will get to dig deeper into Del Rey's subconscion. We see Del Rey taking clothes off for money, Shaun Ross (co-actor) being awesome as ever before, Del Rey sharing a cigarette that might not be that very legal. This is the point where I feel she might have taken a role of today's Eve and Shaun Ross is her Adam?
Thoughts? Yay or Nay?

Yet another set of awkward picture. No joke, I used to be pro at taking selfies but these days I feel kind of really awkward. I never know what to do, should I smile? Stay serious? Be a Roman statue? I just really hope this was the last time I had to take my own 'what I wore' pictures. Grr.
Before I start my big rant, I want to note that I am not here to diss your favourite artists nor your music taste. It's just my opinion and my little internet space to share it. So no hard feelings and if you really disagree, please leave a comment saying why and I will respect it so please respect mine.
Sometimes I really do believe I was born with an old soul, I used to try to fit it in some sort of friendship groups until my secondary school when I decided 'what's the point?', 'what's so wrong about who I really am?'. Since then I mostly have spoken my mind out, I hated the pop culture since I can remember. I could never understand why artists like Gaga, Bieber, Cyrus or Minaj were so hyped about. Yes, I could hear a decent voice and potential but aren't they earning their money, fame through over-sexualising themselves and screaming out loud to the public -
Maybe it is due to the way I was brought up, the way my grandparents always told me to respect the history, without it I would have no freedom, no place for a woman. So I do, I deeply respect history, it is the reason I am here, writing my own opinion without being banned, imprisoned or being classed as a 'rebel' while really it's just a opinion!
But this post is not about me, far from it. It's about how celebrities as those previously named should think twice when they get dressed for public events, when they publicly use drugs and so on. While I have no problem with these fame filled stars doing what they do, I do feel that it should not be put out there for millions of young people to see.
Reasons for such belief is that, even though they might say 'I never said I'm a rolemodel', it doesn't take away the responsibility that you, as a personallity that chose to be in the business carry through each move that is being judged, followed and faned by young followers around the world. And the main power they carry with the title of 'celebrity' is influencing. So, if you as a individual have this power to influence the future generation, why would it be to being over-sexual, to drug abuse, to addictions?
It is no art. No true talent. We all have that, we all can get naked and become big. But if I had that power, I feel that I rather influence people to become better as human beings, to peacefulness, to being aware of the world around and within them, to ways how we as world citizens could change the whole world into something better. Less violent, less back-stabbing and cruel. But this could be a silly and naive way of thinking, but I rather think that than have a power and not even try to improve the world.
Thoughts? Do you agree or am I being a silly little girl?
I recently came to really love American retail brand Gyspy Warrior. Why? Firtsly, because they used Chelsea Vittorio aka Radeo Suicide (the charming brunette with the tattoos) as co-face of their brand's new lookbook 'She Loves Adventure' and secondly, the brand is everything I see myself to be...well almost everything. Gypsy Warrior's new Lookbook is all about free spirit, crazy nights and going home with beautiful memories while looking pretty-damn-fabulous. My must-have pieces from the new lookbook would be for sure the Detroit boyfriend jeans, Genius child sunnies, Crosstown Booties and Mesh Midi dress.
Thoughts? Would you rock any of these pieces and if yes which one is your favourite?
Christina Perri released a new single "Human" from her up coming album. It's raw, filled with emotions and will make you feel ok with all the little human tendencies that we have like feeling weak and helpless, falling in love and ending up with a broken heart, breaking out a fake smile and a laugh, trying the best you can to make your loved one happy. Christina is an amazing artist and a owner of a beautiful voice. I cannot stop listening!
Thoughts? In love or Ihave the worst music taste?
