Mark Butler: A Photographer To Love

Mark Butler is a professional freelance photographer based in Phoenix, Arizona. Mark has been shooting for over 3 years working mainly in the music industry and has also toured across the U.S. shooting for bands. His work isn't just another capture story, it's like a book, you turn the pictures, and in each one you will see something new, something which will blow you away! Anyway I had a fab chance to ask some questions to Mark and I hope you'll enjoy the interview!

Guna Campbell: How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
Mark Butler: That's hard to say in one sentence haha
GC: Why photography? How did you came to the conclusion that you wanted to be a photographer?
MB: I started taking classes in high school during my junior year and just really loved it that's what really just got me into thinking about it as a career. I just love how creative you can get with it, I also love that it captures emotions at shows or life in general...you might not notice when you're just there.

GC: You've been a photographer for three years or so, mostly concentrating on music scene. So the question is, why music?
MB: I just kind of fell into it i guess, I shot my first show to see if I liked it and I loved it so I looked at more photos in magazines and stuff and just saw how many different types of jobs there were. I always wanted to do something with documenting something long term and found out about being able to do tour photography later on and liked having something to shoot every day on what was going on. I love that I can spend a month of just taking photos everyday hah.
GC: Any new exciting projects coming up for you this year for us to look out for?
MB: I just did promo photos recently for Four Year strong so I'll be posting those sometime soon. I'll also be out on the Millionaires "I Get Around Tour" this summer, starting in June. I'll be trying to do a daily blog on my Buzznet and my Tumblr of what was going on. I also just released my new summer line for my clothing company that I work on as a side project which I did all the photos for so you can check out the lookbook on: http://weallscreamclothing.com
GC: Song on your mind right now?
MB: Right now listening to Snooze by Mac Miller
Much Love,
Guna
